Special thank yous to everyone at the Studio for putting this thing on -- I've learned a TON.

Since there's been so much talk of baking and baked goods exchanging going on in the forums during the contest, I thought I'd go with a theme to record and celebrate all those domestic moments in the kitchen. When I was growing up, my friend Dusty's grammie lived a few houses down, and her kitchen always smelled like cookies. It was an awesome early-50's kitchen of the future (despite being the mid '70's), with yellow and blue flower printed curtains and always a mason jar full of daisies. This kit was inspired by Dusty's grammie.

Kit includes:
* a button, colored 8 ways (sorry Toiny. LOL)
* a clip, also colored in all the palette colors
* 3 aprons (one full, two hostess)
* 3 mixing bowls in nesting sizes
* one curled ribbon
* one shelf with bunting liner
* one handmade button frame
* daisies to use either alone or in a jar
* a scalloped plastic circle frame
* 5 jello molds
* a cast iron skillet
* a polka dot ribbon
* 1950's era fridge and stove
* transparent mason jar
* scalloped pink journal card
* New! Improved! word art
* pink polka-dot ribbon wrap
* "From the Kitchen Of" recipe card (printable, too)
* two kinds of stars cut from vintage recipe cards
* a flatware frame
* yellow scrolly frame
* Kitchen-Aide stand mixer
* hand-drawn string bow
* hanging hand towel with applique chicken
* the window withe the yellow happy curtains
* wooden spoon

There's also a full litho alphabet (capitals), and fourteen coordinating papers (10 patterned and 4 semi-solids, mostly in element patterns or in 1950's wallpaper). I think I stuck in a quick page in the tou/preview folder, too.

**edit 10/01**
Thank you EVERYONE for the kind comments and your support through this competition!!! I love you guys.

I think you must have known my Grandmother. That is her stove and fridge, she had brass jello molds on her wall, and I know those bowls were hers too. She is gone now, but I have photos of her still waiting to be scrapped. I had never found the right kit to use. This is it. We used to go to her house every Sunday morning for breakfast and as she lived about four houses away, my sisters and I spent many afternoons there also. I loved her very much. She will feel right at home amoung her many treasures. You captured the center of her home, her kitchen. This is just fantastic. Thank you and good luck

I love your hand-drawn style. It soooo fits this theme. It looks like it belongs in a 50's magazine ad. Love it. Thank you and good luck in the contest.

Thank you so much. It takes me to my childhood.

This is also my Grammy's kitchen except she had the white appliances. Did you know they are making the old looking appliances again and some repair people are finding the old and making them energy efficient. So much fun. I used to cook everything from scratch for my family (8 kids and a husband) my "work" was a homemaker. I baked, cooked and sewed many of their clothes. I even put together a 100+ page cookbook of many of the recipes I used. Now with them all grown and my health not good, my son cooks for me (he loves to cook).

OMG! This is soooooo cute! I have one photo of me at my 9th birthday party in the 50's kitchen. Of course, it was b&w, which will go great with your kit. I LOVE this! Love the red mixer! I had the turquoise appliances from the 70's, too. Guess I gave away my age, huh???!!! Lots of Luck!
