To create the background, I first used Paper8 and then layered Paper5 and blended it with Difference at 44% opacity. I overlayed my photo of the fairgrounds with the ride and the blue sky and blended it as Divide at 100% opacity. Then I duplicated the photo and extracted the ride and blended it as Pinlight.
