I am embarrassed to admit how bad my house looks, but I am hoping that showing it will help motivate me to get things in better shape and keep it that way. :-)
Journaling:
I want to do many things to improve our house/living
environment this year. I don't know if we we will be
able to get them all done in the next 12 months, but I
am hoping that taking daily pictures and documenting
the progress will encourage us to keep moving forward.
My starting place is the organization of our house and
just the sheer volume of the stuff we own. It has gotten
out of control, and we are running out of places to put
anything new that we bring in (and with a toddler
and an infant, it's impossible to avoid bringing in
new things). Most of our horizontal surfaces are
covered with items that have no permanent home
because there is no other place to put them. It seems
like everything is in disarray.
I want to find permanent places for all of our homeless
items and to rid our home of those things that we no
longer need or maybe have never needed.
This week I worked mainly in our living room, and I
feel that I made some excellent progress. I hope to
finish in here next week.
