Insalata Caprese



This Italian salad is wonderful for the warm season. The important thing is to use ripe tomatoes and a good, high-quality olive oil.



As a variation you can also add green salad leaves and balsamic vinegar, or slices of smoked ham, but the simple recipe I posted here is the original Italian version.



I didn't include any quantities because that's totally up to you. You can make a tiny portion for a starter or a big plateful for a main course.
