When it comes to comfort foods, this is my all-time favorite. My grandmother taught me to make this when I was twelve years old. From that time until I married and left home it was my responsibility to make a peach (or sometimes cherry) cobbler for Sunday lunch to go with the fried chicken, green beans and mashed potatoes with cracklin' gravy It was a favorite of my children as they were growing up and is becoming a favorite of my Dutch family too. There are a lot of variations, but this is the original no-frills version I learned to make in my grandmother's kitchen.
