JUDGE -
I think you did a wonderful job on this! The heavier shadow on the bottom border gives a sense of heaviness, perhaps it's a "metal" border...
Personally, I would have made the paper shadows just a *teeny* bit heavier because the paper colors are all the same. But, because there is some burning on the paper edges, they still have a nice definition.
Overall, the layout is really nice.

Very cute. I like the recoloring of the items to match your photo. I almost didn't recognize the kit!

JUDGE - This is a super layout!!! Mackenna looks like you forced her to smile...lol...and that just adds to it's charm. Your drop shadows are mostly wonderful, even the one on the leaf doodle even though it's opposite than the other shadows. It adds a nice definition which adds interest. The green squares that are hanging over the heavily shadowed border need a bit of a softly blurred larger shadow. It will give them the look of of being lifted by the border. The only other thing I would like to see you change is the flower placement. The far right one trails off the page - that's ok on the leaves, but it makes the flower look chopped. Moving it would make them off center, so perhaps shrink their size by just a touch till it doesn't hang over the edge. A fantastic 1st attempt though, with minor changes needed to make it spectacular.

Judge - Very beautiful LO. I agree with Candee about the green squares, as it is, they kind of blend together. And the heavily shadowed border seems to stick out quite a bit (very well done) but it does suggest the green papers being behind it rather than in front of it. Personally, I would change the layer order to put the 'metal' border right on top/in front to do justice to the heavy shadow.

JUDGE - I really love how you recolored the parts of this kit, especially the leaves. Very nice. And the photo is priceless; the looks on the faces of the kids and the dog are so much fun!
I agree with Darlene in that I think the ds on the green papers behind the photo could use a little be more emphasis.
Candee mentioned that your drop shadows on the border and leaves were opposite. I noticed that myself. One thing I try to do when I'm working with the drop shadows in my LO's is to be consistant with the shadow direction as much as possible on all elements.
And I like Jiskefet's suggestion to move the heavy shadowed border to the top - I'd move it to be on top of the green papers, giving the effect that the papers are tucked, and being held in place, behind the border. I would, however, keep the leaves as the top most element.
A couple of quick fixes and I think you'll have an awesome LO here!

JUDGE- I love how you placed the green paper squares in a sort-of "frame" for the photo. Plus it gives a nice little spot for the journaling! I would like to see a little bit more shadowing on the top two green squares that go over the top of the flowers. Maybe a little "bent" shadow to make the papers pop off the page.

Judge-This layout is just too cute. I just love the look on the dogs face. I have to agree with Candee, I really like how you placed the green papers but think just a little more shadow will really make them stand out and maybe reduce the size of the flowers on top. Great layout, nice job.

Judge: Great job on the recoloring. Love the brown leaves. I too like to see more shadow on the green paper. specially the ones going over the border.
