Thank You #1

Thank You #1

This is a page I made for my friend, Christy, to thank her for inviting me to visit her in Florida twice this year! I went down in April (it had been 3 years since I've seen her) and I'm going again this December

The letter reads:

Christy, It was wonderful seeing you again. I am so glad you invited me down to Florida for a visit. I was long overdue for a vacation! I had an awesome time exploring the Disney World parks with you, meeting all your cast member friends, taking a ton of photos, and picking your brain about Disney trivia and what life is like working at the most Magical Place on Earth! I'm looking forward to my next visit in December! Love ya!! Theresa

The kit I used was JulieO's Feelin Wonderful

JUDGE - First of all, I cannot believe that's not your twin sister!!! What a resemblance you share. I'd like to make a few recommendations for you with this layout. Your frame and papers behind them are great - I would however make them a bit bigger, OR make your letter smaller (not the envelope). It's looks a bit unbalanced to me the way it is. I would also add a feather light drop shadow to the letter, since it's "flying" out of the envelope.

JUDGE - I forgot to mention your keywords are ALMOST right. You should mention the name of the kit & the designer's name, and remove the word "gallery". The name of the challenge is also recommended if you don't feel it would be too wordy that way. You've got a super start here.

JUDGE- Beautiful LO I love the photo and papers behind them, it makes a nice cluster. I agree it would be nice to see that focal point larger and the journaling letter smaller, at full print size it would still be readable even it was a bit smaller. A light shadow on the letter would be nice as well.

The strips of papers under the photo is really neat.

JUDGE- I LOVE the cluster in the corner with the pic & ribbons. The shadow on the bow is great. If you look at the letter & envelope, it does not look like the paper would fit inside the envelope (which it would in real life). Making the paper a bit smaller would be great & adding a bit of a shadow where it goes inside the envelope. Great job!

JUDGE - Hi Theresa! Don't know if you're aware, but you can change/add keywords after-the-fact if it's already uploaded. Just pull the LO up and click on "edit photo," and you'll see a screen where you can do it there.

I love the way you handled the journaling as a thank-you note. Very clever!

The DS on the bow on top of the frame looks very good. I would probably go a little bit heavier on the shadows of the paper elements. Sometimes it's harder to see once a LO is uploaded and online...

I do agree that a bigger photo would really draw the eye in to your smiling faces. It looks like you had a great time!

JUDGE - I agree with everyone else, the letter and should be smaller (or the photo larger). If you redo this portion, be careful with the placement of the text; I've noticed that this version has the 't' in 'visit' and the period sitting on the envelope, which, in reality, wouldn't be the case. I like the paper-strip cluster too; it's very pretty. However, I think the layering effect is a little difficult to see. Though, that might be because of the smaller sized image we have online... maybe the full-sized one is clearer?

Judge-I just love, love that paper cluster behide the frame, It is just so pretty, the different, papers, lenghts and widths, very clever. I do think however, that a little more shadow would help distinguish the pieces on the top of the frame. I also have to agree with the others regarding the size of the paper and the ds. It really is just a few changes. Wonderful layout, good job.

JUDGE:

Beautiful LO, I agree with needing just a little more shadowing on the envelope and letter to separate it from paper.

I agree with the shadow and sizes. The likeness between the two of you is just amazing! Great Job!
