It's Lilo & Stitch!!! I love all the flowers and vines, which helps give it a Hawaiian feel. Cute layout

JUDGE - This is just beautiful Kathry, the flower placement, the border - it's all super. I realize you were going for lifted look here and that's great. But you might want to make the bigger shadows on the flower just a teensy bit lighter. The different shadows on different flowers though gives it a very realistic look and is great. If your preference is to keep them heavy, then don't change a thing - I don't think it will affect the final judging at all.

This is amazing.
I love the various levels of the vines and flowers, they really stand out, and the depth within the frame. However, the depth of the shadows of the ribbon on the left is not consistent with the levels of the elements, so I would suggest you copy this layer and place the copied layer underneath the frame or photo layer. This way you have more opportunity to 'play' with the shadows of the ribbon.

I could not edit my previous comment, so I will repeat it with corrections

The other option is to lift one layer of vine and flowers over the ribbon, but that might spoil the wonderful effect you have created

JUDGE- I really like the effect you've done here with the different levels, but some of the shadows make the elements look a little too "raised". The top left flower and the bottom right flower look like they're jumping off the page, while the other two look raised, but not too much. Those two look much better. A fantastic first layout!

JUDGE - Lovely composition on this layout and the layering of all the elements is terrific. Here's where personal preference comes in - because I can see this LO was created with a deliberate 3D effect in mind. So if that's what you were going for, then you probably want to leave it at is. If I were you, though, I'd TRY pulling the shadows in a bit and maybe lightening the ones behind the flowers, just to see what you end up with. The way it is right now, it feels like the elements may be a couple of inches off the page. So, back to what I said earlier, if that's the look you wanted I think you did it well.
Man, I feel like I'm rambling but hope you can make some sense out of my comments, LOL!

Judge- Such a pretty layout. I love the jewels along the side of the border. I also like how some vines are under and some over the frame. I just think the shadowing for 2 of the flowers are not consistant with the other flowers as well as to the vines they are attached to.

Judge: You really caught the dept look. The shadow on the little flowers might be a little lighter, specially the top left since it got something over it with a a lighter shadow.

I love the way you used the branches and flowers. Very clever and effective. Sets off the pic nicely. Great job.
