So cute. I love how you framed the page with the bead elements. Looks great with those adorable photos.

JUDGE - Great LO! And that cake! Wow, amazing! With regards to your shadowing, inidvidually, the items are fine but if you look at the entire LO, the shadowing is not consistent. The beads across the top have the shadow on the bottom, the vertical beads have their shadows on the right, the middle frame had it's shadow on the bottom and right, the frame on the bottom left has it's shadows on the top and right and the frame on the bottom right has it's shadows on the top and left. Try to imagine from where you want your light sorce to shine and adjust your shadows so that all items are fall away from the sorce. Hmm, I'm sorry if I'm too wordy and confusing here... maybe another judge can help explain?

I agree. It on my first attempt all the shadows were to the right and bottom and the judges comments were that I needed more shadow. I can fix the beads and left frame but if I put the shadows on the right and bottomof the right frame you won't see it at all. Is that right though?

yes, you have it right... even though you can't see the shadow on the bottom right picture! It's because you have the picture "falling off" the page, so there shouldn't be a shadow that you can see if the light source is coming from the top left... same with the bottom left pic, the shadow will appear on the right side, but because the frame is outside the page border, you will not see a shadow on the bottom! Hope I explained that right! LOL! You always want to have the shadows coming from the same light source direction! I think when the judges are saying "more shadow" they want you to increase the size or opacity, not the direction the shadows are coming from. Drop shadows are tricky, and it takes a lot of playing around with them to get the hang of it! But, I think you are doing a wonderful job and I love this layout! I can't believe you MADE that cake! It's fabulous!

Judge: Just play around with the angle of your light source. and see which angle gives the best look. As long as the shadows for all the elements are in the same direction it doesn't matter where the light source is. Hope your not to confused after reading all this
