My Daddy's HS Yearbook picture c. 1936. My mother-in-law was a freshman at the school when he was a senior on the football team - and she remembered he was "awful cute."

Everything is from CanDesigns After Labor Day Kit available here at the SAS Boutique: http://www.stoneaccentsstudio.com/st...oducts_id=1685.

I'm a little nervous about being first to post for this challenge - I hope it's CRAPPY enough!

JUDGE- I think you did a wonderful job on this layout! The square papers give the layout a uniform look. The lighter pink paper also brings out the color in the photo. Your shadows are awesome...especially on the butterflies. I would maybe bring that top left butterfly down a bit to fill that blank space in between, but that's personal preference. See what you think.

Judge- Wonderful layout, the shadowing is perfect, and I love how you layered the papers. The lighter paper really does bring the color out in the photo. The only suggestion I have is to maybe name and date your layout so that when your great grandchilden are looking at this layout they know who and when. Unless of course you put this information on the back of the layout.

Judge - WOW great job on the first try and being the first to post! I agree on bringing the butterfly down a little to tighten that cluster to match the tight flower cluster at the bottom. Wonderful shadowing, wonderful design.

JUDGE - Terrific layout! I was thinking the same thing about the shadows, especially on the butterflies - they look great. And who says we can't use pastels (like the peach here) with "manly" layouts. The only thing I would add is a title, and if you put his name and the date (as a title) that would cover it. Very nice work.

Judge - I don't know what more to add, I agree about the title and the placement of the one butterfly, but this is a real eye-catcher!!!

Cute story. Love the multiple papers. Neat job with the butterflies. I like the way you used them.
