A Poem As The Sea - Final Version

A Poem As The Sea - Final Version

The Sea... my greatest love, my companion of every moment.

When I climb the hills that surround the Bay where I live, I have this wondrous view of open sea, a never ending horizon, ever new yet always familiar and welcoming.

In case you cannot read the poem very well, it says:

I do not think I shall ever see

A poem as beautiful as the Sea

Poems are made by fools like me

But only the Gods can make the Sea

The changes I made were those suggested by Astrid: I took my version 2 with the much-too-light shadows and tweaked them a little around the frame and the frame alone, since, as Astrid pointed out, that would be the heavier element that would cast a darker shadow. All the other elements were much lighter: the shells, the seahorse and the tag. So those shadows remained light.

I trust you'll find it adequate now, if not, I'll still change it.

Thank you so much for the advice, because unlike when I posted Version 2, I can now say that I really like this version much better.

I learned that it's not only what looks good that matters, but what looks real, and what makes sense in the world of physical elements.

I also learned to always leave my shadows in separate layers: this tweaking was much easier than the first one lol

Thank you Candee for such a wonderful kit... I fell in love with it from the moment I first saw it!

JUDGE - This is a gorgeous layout and the most important thing is that you like the changes! Great job and I agree with you, having shadows on separate layers gives you a big advantage! Love the journaling!

I'm wondering if this means that the judges are happy with it now and I can upload it to the judging gallery, or I should wait a little longer...
