Judge - This is a beautiful and elegant LO! I just love all the red and the pearls are super. They all work well with that wonderful, old photo. The only suggestion I'd like to make is to perhaps enlarge your photo just a bit to close up that small gap between the photo and the journaling tag. I think this will give more of an even flow of the eye from the tag to the photo and will also keep the large butterfly from overtaking the photo. And of course we'll get a better look at your mom that way too.
Aside from that I think this is so very pretty... and I may even have to scraplift it!

JUDGE - Unbalanced????? This is one of the most beautifully balanced lo's I've ever seen!!!! Your elements are perfectly sized for the delicacy this lo exudes and the red background is just beautiful with the sepia photo. I think it's perfect and hope you don't change a thing!!!

I was just reading your post in the thread - your layout is gorgeous!!!! I don't think it looks unbalanced at all. I love the paper strips behind the photo and the ornate frame. The colors you used are beautiful. But I know that it doesn't matter what we think - it's what YOU think that counts. Just wanted you to know that I think it's gorgeous!

Beautiful, elegant page! I love the swirl overlay and the way the paper strips give the impression of an artist's easel.  Love the jewels, butterflies, pearls, ribbons...etc etc..everything! Well done!

I agree with everyone else - it is gorgeous and such a wonderful color combination. I love the overall delicacy. And the peals just anchor the whole thing so perfectly.

JUDGE - LOVE this - it's gorgeous, well-balanced, great shadowing... really very pretty. I agree with Rose that the photo can be slightly bigger, but I still like it as is, too. You should try it and then decide for yourself. Fabulous page!
