Mom and Aunt Linda #2

Mom and Aunt Linda #2

I made the Photo a bit larger in this one and had to make the frame and paper strips a bit bigger too. I prefer the #1 layout myself but I would like other people's opinions on which one they prefer. I'm not really comfortable with this whitespace technique yet.

This is a picture of my mother with her older sister. I had never seen a picture of her as a little girl until after she passed away two years ago. My mom is on the left.

Papers and elements by Irene V. Alexeeva: Background paper, butterfly, gold frame and ruby brad from the Versailles kit, ribbon from the Mariposa kit, beads and cut paper from the Florentine kit, flower and cut paper from the Cabernet kit, and cut paper from the Altered Melody kit. Butterfly sticker

on the tag is an SAS Birthday gift provided by designer Brenda Mascari.

JUDGE - This really is a 'Knock-out' of a LO either way you go! I went back to the first version and saw that the judges were somewhat devided on the issue of the photo size; so the end decision is really yours to make.

But, if you'd like to know what I think now... I just opened both versions in seperate windows and viewed them side-by-side and well, (... don't hit me, LOL) I have to agree with you; I also like the first version better (I'm sorry if I caused you to do extra work, but hopefully you enjoyed playing with it... maybe?... just a little?...).

Wonderful job!

Judge - still fantastic, either lo would be great. I'm glad you're noticing the differences now in these types of layouts. They're not good for every photo, but they surely have a place for a very special photo like the one you used. Super job hon!!

JUDGE- I happen to like this version, but only because I love antique photos & like to see them bigger. The choice is totally yours...no matter which one you choose, it's a wonderful layout!

I went back and compared them and I like this version with the bigger photo better, it is great to be able to really see their faces.

I thought the first layout was wonderful, but I think this one is equally as beautiful. The choice is yours!
