JOURNALING: Two 19-year olds, competing in their second senior-level national championships in Greensboro NC on 1/30/11, had different outcomes. Armin Mahbanoozadeh, skating to the Avatar soundtrack, fell on his triple lutz, but landed a triple flip, triple toe combination. He finished in 6th place overall. Richard Dornbush received a standing ovation for his long program to the Sherlock Holmes soundtrack. He won the long program and took home the silver medal after a 7th place short program finish.
