Not far from where I live is the sweetest little fishing village by the name of Edam - also known for it's Edam cheese. When we visited there in October of 2003 with a group of my husband's colleagues, I simply fell in love with the little back yard garden houses along the canal side of the Schepenmakersdijk (Ship Makers Dike).
