My DS, Sergeant Lemmons. He left for Boot Camp 2 weeks after his high school graduation and has worked his way up from Private to Sergeant over the past 7 years through dedication, hard work and love for his country!! He served in Iraq for 13 months. While it was soooo hard to let him go, I am ever so proud of his courage and selflessness!! He learned well from his father and he is another of my heroes!! I combined papers and elements from Writer's Ink by Digilicious Designs and My Country Tis of Thee by Shelly Marie Scraps. I also used a paper shape from Laras Digi World, Paper Cutouts Vol. 9 and the platoon photo shape is from Photo Shapes by Nibbles Skribbles.

Oh what a wonderful page of your son. I'm in awe that you let him go... I'm not quite there, #3 is getting ready for that step, and the thought terrifies. I should scrap a page of you as my hero LOL.

Lovely tribute to your son. I know that if my son chose to go in the military my heart would break. I'd be proud but still... it would be hard to let go.

Great page for your son, and I wish you well. This is one time I'm glad my sons are now older, though one is a police officer and I worry as much as if he was on the mean streets of iraq rather than the city he works in. Hope he's home soon, safe and sound.
