Grandpa's War Stories

Grandpa's War Stories

Kit: Americana Memories, the May 2010 Studio Mega Kit

If you feel like you were dropped in mid-story, well, you kind of were. This is the second page of the "War" section of the memory book I'm creating to honor my grandfather. Page 1 is uploaded in my gallery, future pages are yet to come.

My grandfather was an amazing man. He has medals for serving in the five major battles of the European conflict, yet until a few years ago, he never spoke of it. I love sharing his stories with my kids and anyone else who's interested. Feel free to check out Page 1 here.

I love this, and the fact that you recorded his words. It's terrific that he shared these stores, and it would be a shame not to record them for future generations. Love the photos and the way you arranged the page. Great job!

Oh Lori, I am envious of you that you have your grandfather to tell you the stories of his experiences! These are wonderful pieces of history, your family's as well as the world's, how wonderful of you to be preserving them in this way. Thanks so much for sharing!

What a wonderful story! My grandfather also served in France but we were on vacation and I didn't have access to any pictures. I think we need to make an effort for him to tell his stories before it's too late. It's a gorgeous LO for sure!
