Kit: Softer Than Springtime by BooLand Designs

The journaling reads:

You were the First

You were my first baby. The first grandchild. The first great grandchild. No baby was more eagerly awaited. As excited as we were to meet you, none of us was prepared when you decided to come 5 weeks early. Even early, you were a respectable 7 pounds, 3 ounces.

When I went home you had to stay in the hospital, because you had jaundice. It was while you were there that you had your first apnea attack. They said if it had happened at home, we might have lost you.

You stayed in the hospital for two and a half weeks. They diagnosed you with reflux. When you came home, you had an apnea monitor
that would alarm if you stopped breathing. You can see the belt from the monitor under all your clothes until you were 6 months old.

Great layout. Your paper blending is wonderfully done. I really like the use of different flowers in your cluster.

Love the border cluster you made, and the layout is beautiful. Glad to know she recovered enough to shed the monitor. Very touching!

Wonderful layout! I love how you used two different photos with the blending of one as a black-and-white and the other in color. I also like the tucked photo in your cluster (as someone else mentioned) and how you did you title - having the orange text to match the frame and bordering colors. Great layout - I'm sorry you had such worries in the beginning but thank your for sharing your story here. Good luck!

Great page and wonderful journaling. Repeating from above comments - your side cluster is really quite striking.

I LIKE how you blended the photo of the baby into the paper! Nice job on making a border cluster, too! Very touching journaling.
