This was fun! The minute I read the challenge I knew what photos I would use. I used a template from Connie Prince for the paper layers, then pulled that portion of it and put it into my own layout. I love this kit from Jen C Designs... the papers are so beautifully textured, and perfect! I really loved the line of white waves that I added to create more layers of waves coming into the beach. Thanks for a great kit and a wonderful challenge!
Journaling reads: "Growing up only a mile from the sandy beaches of Lake Michigan instilled in me a deep love for the water. It is refreshing, it is soothing, it rejuvenates, and it soothes and heals. It also plays and challenges and teaches us to sit back and relax and enjoy the gifts it offers. I hope my children learn to appreciate the waters of the Great Lakes as well. This weekend, on the shores of Lake Huron at Harrisville State Park, was chilly, but was also filled with hours of fun on the beach as we chased seagulls, inspected the rings made by the rocks we threw into the waves, and jumped the surges of water as they tickled our toes. We laughed and played and reconnected, away from cell phones and televisions and the challenges of daily routine. The water beckons me yet again, and we will return, to play, and learn, and enjoy....the Heaven that is Lake Huron."
