this is absolutely gorgeous. beautiful tribute page. We share a similar experience. this reminds me of my Grandmother she was also the memory keeper in our family. Now her memory is fading with Alzheimers, and it broke my heart when i took her the first few layouts i made for her, and she didn't recognize some of the (close family members) in the pictures, and was puzzled with pictures of herself. Lately I've been working on scanning in their old pictures and when we look through the cedar trunk she filled with photos and newspaper clippings its so touching to see how much she loved all of us and kept soo many of our photos and announcements, even little cards. You are absolutely right about the journaling. That is the most important part of the scrapbooking process to me, the ability to not only capture the pictures but the story for future generations as well. (hugS)

I love this tribute page. It resonates with me as well, my Oma was our memory keeper as well. As her speech & writing have left her we have no way of recording her memories... except what I & my cousins remember. This page is beautiful & a little bittersweet. I'm sorry she never saw what she inspired.

Your Gran was truly an amazing woman. I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm happy though that you've found a way to remember her, and share those memories with your family. You are indeed blessed!
This layout is so beautiful and pleasing to the eye. You've pulled the very best out of this kit, and created a lovely display for your Gran's photos and plenty of space for journaling. Your page is a legacy to your precious family, and one that should printed, displayed and treasured.

Wonderful journaling--I totally understand how cathartic it is to write about these people and events that we are scrapping. I just love the frame of elements all around your photos and journaling. Beautiful job!

Your grandmother is beautiful, as is this layout your created for her. I love the photographs and how you framed the entire layout with flowers and leaves. I know you will always have her close in your heart as you begin to take over her role of the family story teller.

What a beautiful layout and a lovely tribute to your grandma. Your grandmother was gorgeous both as a young woman and later in life.
My grandmother has always been the family memory keeper too. She has diaries going back to 1950 that have been used to settle arguments

What a beautiful grandma you had, and what a lovely page you made in her honor. The journalling you included is like the perfect explanation of why we scrap - to record precious memories and to remember events and places and people who mean so much to us. Really wonderful job!
