WOW! what an amazing story! It's an encouraging story to us all that even though she lost all of her material possessions she was still able to maintain a beautiful attitude and inner joy. Excellent Heritage page, strikingly beautiful as well! I love the black and white extracted photo! gorgeous work!

I love the heritage look to your page. Your journaling is wonderful ... added so much more meaning to the photos! Your Grandma sounds like she was quite a character. Terrific job on the challenge!

Your Granny Goose (such a cute nick name) was a beautiful woman. It is so hard to imagine that time period, with the devastating losses (even in this economy) and yet she continued to have a smile on her face. Thank you for sharing the fun times you had together, and what a delight it was to spend time with her. It is memories such as these that are important. My Dad always says, people are more important than things. She took that to heart!
Your layout has a such a beautiful legacy feel to it. The extraction work is amazing, and how you filled the charm with a photo is well "charming..." Your layout is very creative and is truly a gift worth treasuring.

I, too, like the heritage feel of your page. It's the perfect style for your reflection. I can't help but think that your grandmother's optimism must keep you going during hard times. That's a legacy of joy. Good luck in the contest.

Wow, how fascinating and what a surprise to have discovered the truth about your great aunt; family histories can be so interesting, and at times, what is learned can be very surprising. Your layout is a lovely montage of photos and 'old' things! And how clever to used the metal element as a photo frame! Thanks for sharing your story.

Absolutely love the heritage feeling. How awesome that she "lost" so much, yet kept perspective on what is truly valuable...family and a sense of humor. Love it!
