I like the juxtapositioning of the two events and the beautiful scripture at the bottom. It's so perfect! Your layout is very beautiful and captured a poignant memory.

wow! that is an amazing detail that they passed on so closely in time yet 33 years apart! So sorry for your loss of both your Father, baby brother and your Grandmother. (hugS) Having experienced a miscarriage myself, I was recalling how difficult that was for me emotionally. I can't imagine compounding that with the loss of your husband (esp. on the heels of learning of his infidelity!) Your Mother must be an incredibly strong and loving woman with an amazing story. I applaud her for having the beautiful spirit to spare you from that knowledge early on until you were old enough and ready to hear it. What a wonderful Mother you must have :-)

Your Mom is indeed an amazing woman! I am so sorry for your loss, the loss of a father at such a young age, and then a loss of innocence later in life when you learned the truth. What a painful time you've been through. I also mourn the loss of my grandmother, they are just so important in our lives. How unbelievable that it would be the same day, and so very close to the exact time of death. That is astonishing.
I love the verse you selected, it is just perfect and the photo of your dad and grandmother together is priceless. I love your dual sides of your layout with clusters and creative framing.

That is one of my favorite verses, it is a beautiful one to choose for this LO. The coincidence is remarkable and makes for a very unique page. Your mother and her strength amaze me. My heart broke when reading of her miscarriage on top of the complete loss of her husband. Thank you for sharing Lori.

Wow Lori, you've created a most wonderful layout here! I love it all, the side by side stories with the photo connecting them, the leafy clustering on the side and how it's tucked under the paper and the symmetry of it all. Just lovely!
Your journaling is amazing too - though the number of words you've used to tell the story are relatively few in number, they tell a very large story! There's so much more I'd like to say here but I'm having difficulty expressing what I'd like... I feel for you all, you, your mother and your father's mother... so many lives affected... thanks for sharing your personal story with us.

What a coincidence... love the way you told this story and placed the journaling side by side dividing the page and then joining it all with the photo! Wonderful layout!

I don't believe in coincidence...I think that timing happened for a reason. What a lovely layout comparing both lives and their endings. Very touching.
