Make The Season Bright

Make The Season Bright

Capture The Moment - Round 5

Christmas was my mother's most favorite holiday, she loved everything about it, and always made it special. She decorated, she cooked and always singing, the whole season long. When I learned the topic would be Christmas, I knew immediately that I'd be using a Christmas photograph of my mother. I think her beaming smile was the perfect touch to this really cute holiday kit.

Kit Fa La La by DIGI_licious Designs.

-For the frame I removed the ribbon that was attached to it and intertwined the kit's 3 curled, ribbon elements.

-The background is made up of 3 different papers, one is embossed.

- I made two scallop-edged items to layer behind the frame, these use a 4th and 5th paper.

-The title was created by making individual masks/mattes for each letter (using a font called Little Trouble Girl) and then applying different papers from the kit (a 6th, 7th and 8th were used); I then added the sparkle element to the dot over the eye.

This is stunning and your mother is beautiful. I like how you flanked her picture with pictures of your tee with those foil icicles we always had, too. I also like your unique alphabet. Super job!

Your Mama was very pretty! Your photo strip looks terrific, especially with the ribbon twists on the side. I love the way you hung it with the chain and small flower. Very nice arrangement on the page. Great job!

Rose, this is what I was talking about in that other thread. Your heritage scraps are just incredible. You took some relatively simple papers and matched it with elements in a way that says "Wow!" I'd have never thought of using those journal pieces like that. It's a great LO and your mom was a beautiful woman.
